• Ivana Church (San Jose de Ivana Church)
  A beautiful centuries-old stone church that survived typhoons and time. It offers a peaceful view of the coastline and a spiritual step back into the Spanish colonial era.
• House of Dakay
  One of the oldest Ivatan stone houses in Batanes, dating back to 1887. It’s an architectural treasure that survived earthquakes and remains preserved with its thatched roof.

  From here, you can take a boat to Sabtang Island, or simply enjoy the view of boats, waves, and the surrounding cliffs that paint a cinematic seascape.

Ivana’s residents are predominantly Ivatan, known for their resilience, discipline, and strong sense of community. The culture is rich with traditions like vakul-making (headgear made from vuyavuy leaves) and laji singing, a local form of folk storytelling in melody. Life here is slow, simple, and meaningful.
